Full Time job in NYC (Showroom)

TKDA is searching for a savvy, tenacious and passionate Senior Account Manager who possesses a current and active rolodex of department store denim buyers.

The goal of the position is to establish new department store accounts for the line utilizing your own denim buyer contacts and then build and maintain these relationships by selling deep and then taking over the denim space.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to understand customers’ needs, identify and develop new accounts by gaining the customers’ trust and confidence through your knowledge and ability to multi task in an organized way.  This role requires more than sales – it’s a true business development role.

Candidate MUST have:

- A current and active rolodex of department store buyers in NYC/US, with a denim focus (pref women’s)

- Effective communication skills

- The ability to negotiate and persuade customers

- The talent to guide and motivate

- The drive to SELL

- Ambition in both your personal and professional life

- The thirst to make the “sell”

- The drive and need to make money

Requirements and Qualifications

- Min 4 years retail and/or sales experience
- affinity with fashion business
- excellent track record in large sales accounts
- self-confidence and strong personality
- enthusiastic, organized, self disciplined and pro active
- fluent in English
- flexible in working hours and prepared to travel
- in possession of a driver’s license

Our NYC Fashion Designer/Brand client needs a PR Manager. This position reports to the PR Director.

This is a very small, yet fast paced showroom. Candidate must wear many hats and be ready to assist in any project. Candidate must be ready and willing to roll up their sleeves and get to work with very little training.  Candidate needs to be very organized, motivated and poses a stellar work ethic. Candidate must be able to take on many projects sufficiently and confidently.  Candidate needs to support this department and their manager in all aspects, while also overseeing a team of interns. The dept is in charge of shows, look book shoots, launches, sample trafficking and more.

REQUIREMENTS:

-  5+years experience in a similar capacity.

-  at least 2 year in a PR MANAGEMENT ROLE to be considered.

- Working experience at a showroom for a high end fashion designer.

- ESTABLISHED MEDIA CONTACTS with US and European media
